Could you spend £10,000 in a year? That was the task set for Buxton in Bloom by a Breathing Places Big Lottery Award.

Working with Friends of Pavilion Gardens we have nearly achieved that aim.

In June 2007 we drew up our action plan and by June 2008 we will have bought tools, created new marginal beds, designed and produced interpretation panels, planted bulbs and put up bird boxes amongst many other activities.

The grant has enabled us to involve children, parents and visitors to the Gardens in caring for their environment and to enhance their very own Breathing Place.
