Buxton in Bloom has successfully engaged the community delivering environmental campaigns throughout the town for the past decade. Now recognised throughout the town, region and more recently nationally the Buxton in Bloom brand name has a high profile recognising the success at regional and national levels.

Building on this success for 2009 Buxton has gained the recognition of being nominated to represent the United Kingdom in the Entente Florale Europe competition. This competition has a base of more than 22,000
communities spread across 12 European nations. This represents the largest horticultural competition in the world.

Delighted with this accolade the Buxton in Bloom committee wishes to extend an invitation to local, regional and national businesses to support our campaign and benefit from the profile that has built up over the past years and will be extended in 2009 to the whole of Europe.

The following information provides a summary of the sponsorship opportunities available and the benefits from them. We hope that you will carefully consider these opportunities and join with us to achieve our aim of:

LEVEL ONE SPONSORSHIP (Up to £250)
Sponsorship of a category in the Buxton in Bloom local competitions
This will provide prizes and certificates for entrants. The sponsor would be acknowledged in the local competition literature (including press releases relating to this) and at the award ceremony.

Non-specific cash donation
The sponsor will be acknowledged on the Buxton in Bloom website and in general literature.

Translation of documents
The sponsor will be acknowledged on the Buxton in Bloom website and in general literature.

LEVEL TWO SPONSORSHIP (£251 to £500)
Sponsorship of the Regional Portfolio or DVD
This will provide funding for the development and production of a high quality portfolio or DVD presenting the main achievements of Buxton in Bloom to the regional judges. The sponsor will be acknowledged on the front cover of the portfolio or in the introduction of the DVD, in press releases, on the website and at the awards ceremony.

Refreshments for the European Jury
This will provide the funding for refreshments over the 2 day period that the judges will be in Buxton. Please note that a cash donation is not necessarily required for this category and the committee are interested in receiving proposals for the provision of specific refreshments. The sponsor will be acknowledged by the provision of a framed certificate to display on their premises and in press releases, on the website and at the awards ceremony.

Translation services on the European judging day
This will provide the funding for the provision of translation services. Please note that cash donations are not necessarily required and the Committee are interested in receiving proposals from appropriately qualified individuals to provide this service on the day. The sponsor will be acknowledged in press releases, on the website and at the awards ceremony and receive a free invitation to the formal reception.

Provision of transport for the European judging
The sponsor will be acknowledged in press releases, on the website and at the awards ceremony and receive a free invitation to the formal reception.

Informal reception
This will provide the funding for the provision of the informal reception with European judges after their arrival from the airport. Please note that cash donations are not necessarily required and the Committee are interested in receiving proposals from catering establishments who would be willing to host this reception.
The sponsor will be acknowledged by the provision of a framed certificate to display on their premises, in press releases, on the website and at the awards ceremony.

LEVEL THREE SPONSORSHIP (£501 to £1499)
Joint sponsorship of the European judges’ flights
The sponsor will be acknowledged in both portfolios, press releases, on the website and at the awards ceremony and receive a free invitation to the formal reception.

Sponsorship of the European Portfolio or DVD
This will provide funding for the development and production of a high quality portfolio or DVD presenting the main achievements of Buxton in Bloom to the European judges. The sponsor will be acknowledged on the front cover of the portfolio or in the introduction of the DVD, in press releases, on the website and at the awards ceremony and receive a free invitation to the formal reception.

LEVEL FOUR SPONSORSHIP (£1500 and above)
Sponsorship of the formal reception
This will provide the funding for the provision of the formal reception with European judges after the judging tour. Please note that cash donations are not necessarily required and the Committee are interested in receiving proposals from catering establishments who would be willing to host this reception.
The sponsor will be acknowledged by the provision of a framed certificate to display on their premises, on the front cover of the portfolio and in the introduction of the DVD and in every press release and radio interview possible, on the website and in person at the awards ceremony. There will also be a free invitation to the informal reception to meet the judges.

Sponsorship of hotel accommodation for the European judges
Please note that cash donations are not necessarily required and the Committee are interested in receiving proposals from high quality establishments who would be willing to host judges for 2 nights.
The sponsor will be acknowledged by the provision of a framed certificate to display on their premises, on the front cover of the portfolio and in the introduction of the DVD and in every press release and radio interview possible, on the website and in person at the awards ceremony. There will also be a free invitation to the formal reception to meet the judges.

All horticultural sponsors will benefit from a high profile sign acknowledging their sponsorship and containing their logo. The sponsorship cost does not include the cost of signage which will be negotiated at a reduced rate to actual cost.

The above list reflects the publicity value of these horticultural features however it is recognised that in the current economic climate local businesses may not have the resources available to cover the total cost. First option for sponsorship will be given to those businesses in a position to provide full sponsorship. However please do contact us should you wish to partially sponsor a feature and this will be given due consideration.

Please note this offer does not include the roundabouts because of the high publicity value.
